SnowVillage

SnowVillage sits in Lainio, in Finnish Lapland, between the ski resorts of Ylläs and Levi. Every winter it is built again from snow and ice, and each season it gets a new theme, so the sculptures, corridors and rooms change from year to year.

Inside you can walk through carved halls, have a drink at the ice bar and spend the night in a snow room. Even when it is much colder outside, the temperature inside stays only a few degrees below zero, since snow is a surprisingly good insulator.
